Just a couple of kooks

So I'm going to be Pinocchio again for halloween. I was dressed up as him for this party last weekend. I liked the outfit, so I'll be in it like 2 or 3 more times. Fun. This is the first ime I've dressed for halloween in 11 years.

I called out, I called your name

I can mingle with the stars & throw a party on Mars
I am a prisoner locked up behind Xanax bars
I have just boarded a plane without a pilot
And violets are blue, roses are red
Daisies are yellow, the flowers are dead

You are not to blame

This guy was chillin with this mexican rasta guy I know. Except, this guy is homeless and he was cooking chicken on the sidewalk. He was really cool, but he had a bad leg. I gave him cigarettes. I like his style.

Release me

It's good. Very good use of their instruments. I totally forgot that Radiohead actually plays instruments. This album feels very optimistic and like there might be a chance in the distance. The first song is amazing though. Wish they had tried to make the album more varied with some songs near the latter half to waken it up. All in all, it's a good album.

Paranoid vampire acts a little old

Last night was Part Time Punks The Smiths/Morrissey night. SO GUUUUD. The bands performed covers of The Smiths songs and they were so good. I usually hate covers, but this was amazing.

The first band, The Chapin Sisters, are this folk/indie band that do these harmonies. It almost made me cry listening to them sing "I Know It's Over" by The Smiths. And apparently, they are the grandchildren of Wes Craven. Tight.

Next was The Softboiled Eggies and they did SO GOOD. I thought I was watching The Smiths play fer realz. Barbarism Begins At Home was so amazing live.

Then I just danced all night to my favorite smiths songs. Got home at 3. Went to bed, woke up at 8. I was supposed to be at work at 6. OOPS.

Boys say GO!

Chris' brithday was on friday. There was a party. I had my usual 40 and had a good time. Smoked like a chimney though :-/

The Red Hearts played and they were really fun. Dan is really good at whatever instrument this is.

Then went to this guys house and he had an awesome xmas tree,

after years of waiting

I'm an uncle now. The birth was quick and hopefully not that painful for my sister [well...it was, but when it was done, it seemed as if nothing happened. She was faking I bet.] The baby's stats: Gabriel Rodriguez De Loera, 9lbs, 19 inches, really cute. It was pretty intense. There were like 8 people [not including doctors] in the room.

Ranch Sunflower Seeds

Vermont house last night. As always, it was fun, full of fun times. Met this japanese guy who is really cool, but I forgot his name. Discovered that I like sunflower seeds [again....I hated them for awhile]. Taylor had like 4 bottles of TAAKA with him. Found out that sitting on a roof isn't all that scary.

Everyone on the rooftop

Then afterwards, Chris and I went to Dan and Tessa's house in Highland Park and watched this David Bowie TV special from 1974 and the Marc Bolan show.

Right now I'm listening to My Bloody Valentine's Ecstacy and Wine. I've owned this album for a long time, but I just found it on my computer. I love it so far.
