Paranoid vampire acts a little old

Last night was Part Time Punks The Smiths/Morrissey night. SO GUUUUD. The bands performed covers of The Smiths songs and they were so good. I usually hate covers, but this was amazing.

The first band, The Chapin Sisters, are this folk/indie band that do these harmonies. It almost made me cry listening to them sing "I Know It's Over" by The Smiths. And apparently, they are the grandchildren of Wes Craven. Tight.

Next was The Softboiled Eggies and they did SO GOOD. I thought I was watching The Smiths play fer realz. Barbarism Begins At Home was so amazing live.

Then I just danced all night to my favorite smiths songs. Got home at 3. Went to bed, woke up at 8. I was supposed to be at work at 6. OOPS.

Oh man. That sounds so good. We never have any good Smiths/Morrissey cover nights here in San Diego.

Only lame all-girl Led Zepplin cover bands.
